Course Description
Heavy equipment operator training is a program that teaches students to operate heavy equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, and hydraulic escalators. The training program includes theory courses in equipment maintenance, operating techniques, and workplace safety, as well as equipment operation and maintenance technique.
Eligibility Requirements
- 16 years old with parental consent
- Must pass drug screen

- 5 weeks of instruction, 1 week reserved for proficiency demonstrations
- Classes held at Alexandria and Jena campuses only
