Scholarships

Scholarships


Scholardships are a form of financial aid, and they are designed to help college students pay for tuition, fees and/or other expenses while enrolled in school to earn a degree or credential.  Scholarships come from a variety of sources -- colleges, univerversities, non-profit groups, private businesses, individual donors, alumni, fundraising, etc. They are awarded to students for a variety of reasons with various requirements.  Below are scholardship opportunities we are posting on behalf of our employer partners and other organizations offering scholarships. 

Do It Right Scholarship 
The Do It Right Scholarship is available to students currently enrolled at CLTCC and/or individuals who plan to attend CLTCC. Go to cltcc.edu/do-it-right-scholarship for more details.

Future Farmers of America (FFA) Scholarship
Graduates of Louisiana FFA are eligbile for a $500 one-time scholarship to Louisiana Community & Technical Colleges. Click here for more details.

Alert1 Scholarship
Alert1 is offering a $250 scholarship to university students and college-bound senior high school students interested in the senior care industry.  Students will be asked to answer three short essay questions and submit by the deadline.  For more information, please visit www.alert-1.com/scholarship.

Xcela Wealth Scholarship
The Xcela Wealth Scholarship is designed with future leaders (students) in mind.  We all know how hard it can be to make sure you’re financially stable in life and to give yourself the best chance possible to pursue higher education.  However, the sad reality is that university or college is expensive and not everyone can afford it or is fortunate enough to receive a scholarship….This is where Xcela Wealth comes in!  Visit http://xcelawealthscholarship.com/ for more information.

Horatio Alger Scholarship
The Horatio Alger Career & Technical Education Scholarship will award up to $2,500 in scholarship funds.  Students (ages 30 and younger) attending non-profit institutions (community colleges or technical schools) are eligible to apply if pursuing a CTE degree or certificate.  Awarded students may request $625 for each eligible semester enrolled to be used toward eligible tuition and fees.  To learn more about the scholarship, eligibility requirements, or to apply online, visit scholars.horatioalger.org.

Thumbtack Scholarship
Thumbtack ​is ​excited ​to ​offer ​a new scholarship ​to ​​students ​attending ​a two- or four-year college or who are enrolled in a vocational program in ​the ​United States. ​The ​scholarship ​is designed ​to ​benefit ​students who have ​aspirations ​of ​becoming ​a ​“Pro” ​for ​hire: ​either ​starting ​their ​own ​business, serving ​as ​a ​consultant, ​or ​a ​person ​for hire ​(like ​starting ​a yoga ​business, ​becoming ​a general ​contractor ​or ​handyman ​for ​hire, ​serving ​as ​a ​math ​tutor, ​etc.).
